The DIDA work completed on the David, the Brazilian artist Kobra’s artwork imprinted on the highest wall of the Cima di Gioia quarry.
Last spring Professor Giorgio Verdiani of the Department of Architecture of the University of Florence carried out in the quarry, with his collaborators, the photogrammetric survey of the imposing work of Kobra and then carried out its 3D modeling.
The purpose of the intervention was to keep this important street art work forever indelible in memory, as through this type of photographic survey, that follows a straightening intervention based on real sample measurements, it is indeed possible to obtain a strictly faithful and measurable 3D model.
